Art has always been present in my life, but it resurfaced in the last couple of years when I needed it most. What started as a simple distraction—a way to fill the creative void I felt in my 9-to-5—slowly turned into something much deeper. I found myself reconnecting with that part of me that loved to make things just for the sake of it. Before I knew it, what began as a small creative outlet grew into a full-time career, something that I never thought possible.
I’ve always been pretty independent, so entrepreneurship felt inevitable, but quitting my job to pursue my passion was the scariest thing I’d ever done. I studied and worked in architecture for years, which clearly shaped my drawing style, and probably turned me into a bit of a perfectionist. Knowing when to pivot has been a huge part of my evolution as an artist. Lately, my artistic journey has been about learning to loosen up and embrace imperfection. This has allowed me to explore new ideas and experiment more freely. I first built my business around commission-based work, drawing meaningful places and memories for others. Since then, I have worked to find inspiration in my own life, creating just for myself and remembering why I fell in love with art in the first place.
Sharing my work online has allowed me to connect with people and stories all around the world and grow a supportive community. As a business owner, I wear many hats, but the best part about my job is knowing that my work inspires others. Every connection and message reminds me why I took the leap and the meaning behind what I’m creating.
